Quality Drinking Water

Aruba has a well-earned reputation for one of the world’s highest quality drinking water, even compared to the best bottled water brands.

Our tap water is a pure distilled product that has been treated in a modern re-mineralization process to absorb oxygen and important minerals like calcium. This gives the water its delicious taste. Tap water is safe to use, has no risk for human health and does not need further treatment; an advantage rare to other water distributing companies in the world.  

W.E.B. Aruba N.V. has very stringent procedures in place to meet quality requirements for potable water. Water is chemically tested on a daily bases and in order to meet excellent quality standards, water analysis is made at 21 strategic sites at monthly intervals.

World Health Organization’s health criteria for TDS (total dissolved solids) is 600 parts per million (ppm). Aruba’s drinking water contains 5 to 15 ppm of Total Dissolved Solids, 40 times better than the criteria for TDS in water supplies.

Twice a month our drinking water is subject to a revision process by the National Laboratory at the 21 strategic sites. These periodic reviews show no bacterial contaminants, meaning a high level of water purity.
